John Terry

For some football fans, John Terry is one of the famous football players in the world. He’s the Captain of both English and Chelsea. Everyone wants to be like him, he is rich, handsome, a great leader and tough guy on the field. But a few weeks ago at Moskow, he fell down on the field with full of guilty and tears. Why..?? Because he missed the penalty at Champions League Final that made his team Chelsea couldn’t win the trophy.
The victory was in front of Chelsea when John Terry took the penalty, if he scored that penalty, they would win the trophy. In fact, he failed and let Manchester United took the advantage to win. Chelsea wasn’t lose when John Terry failed to take the penalty, they lose when Nicolas Anelka failed to take the penalty. So I think that was not John Terry’s fault, I think it was Anelka’s fault. But we can’t blame them, because that’s football. There’s only one winner and one loser at the end.
I don’t know a lot about John Terry, but I’m sure that night made him so down. A tough guy, Captain, and leader fell down into deeply sadness and his eyes were full of tears. After that night, he didn’t want to talk to anybody and hard to get asleep. He said in Chelsea’s website that he had just slept a few hours and hope that night was just a nightmare.
A few days after the final, he wrote an open letter to Chelsea fans that posted in Chelsea’s website. Here is some quotes of the letter :
To all the Chelsea fans, all my team-mates, the manager and staff at the club. I’m so sorry for missing the penalty and denying you the fans, my team-mates, family and friends the chance to become European Champions.
Many people have told me I don’t need to say that but I feel I need to, that’s just me. I have relived that moment every minute since it happened. I have only slept a few
hours and wake up every time hoping it’s all been a bad dream.
I have had some amazing support from fans, current and ex-players, family and friends and I need to thank everyone for that. But I am a big man and I take responsibility for us not winning.
Well, actually I’m not a Chelsea’s fans, instead I’m an MU’s fans. I’m glad that MU success to win the Champions League trophy, but I got a lot of concerns to Chelsea’s Captain John Terry. It must be tough to be him that night. Something like the sky fell down to you and said THAT’S YOUR FAULT. I can’t imagine how down he was that night, but I got a lot of lectures from him that night.
From the letter that he made after the final, I can conclude that he’s a truly great leader and tough guy. How come..?? A truly great leader and tough guy is someone who responsible in all things that he has done no matter if it’s good or bad, and I’ve found it in John Terry. And also, I’m sure that he’s one of kind person for his team, family and friends, because he got amazing supports from those who love him. That’s so important when we down, like a fire that fallen by the rain.

And couple days ago, England got a friendly match with USA. He was successfully scored a goal and every eyes look at how a great Captain of both English and Chelsea has risen up from his sadness. What a great character of John Terry..
